Testnet guide
A complete starting point for disposable wallets, transfers, NFTs, staking and public lookups.
Start with a disposable wallet.
- Open the web wallet or install the reviewed desktop Chrome test package. Wait for the configured synthetic network to match.
- Create a wallet with a unique passphrase. Download its encrypted JSON backup and keep the passphrase separately. Save it before claiming or signing.
- Claim 1 test GOD. Preserve the Claim ID and TX ID. Only successful committed execution confirms funding.
- Send a small amount to another disposable account. Review the recipient, amount and maximum fee; verify the TX ID and recipient balance.
- Try the configured NFT collection, then check mint/send results and current ownership separately.
- Explore native staking and G operations with test assets only. Read the staking guide before delegating or starting the 21-day test exit delay.
- Lock the wallet and test recovery from your backup. A reset may invalidate balances and network-bound backups.
What the pilot provides.
| Feature | Current scope | Open |
|---|---|---|
| Wallet | Web alpha and manually installed desktop Chrome test package | Wallet guide |
| Test GOD | Automatic fixed-amount faucet; account, IP and pool limits apply | Test faucet (opens in a new tab) |
| Transfers | Reviewed ordinary GOD transfers through a restricted gateway | Transfer guide |
| NFTs | One configured test collection: mint, ownership and send | NFT guide |
| Staking and G | Six reviewed native operations; settlement and delayed payout remain separate | Staking guide |
| Explorer | Committed lookups and explicitly bounded retained-history coverage | Explorer guide |
| RPC and Chain ID | Published after the configured network matches; public RPC is read-only | Connection guide |
| Node onboarding | Operator guidance; open public joining is not activated | Node guide |
| RH bridge and mainnet | Disabled; no real deposits or test-to-mainnet conversion | Bridge status |
When a test does not finish.
Wallet creation or import is taking time
Watch the local progress and error message. The encryption format needs roughly 256 MiB of worker memory and can be slow on a small device. Keep the tab visible; leaving or hiding it locks the session. Do not close a newly created wallet before saving its backup. Import needs both the correct encrypted file and its passphrase; there is no password reset.
The network does not match or a service is unavailable
Stop signing. Use Network check in the test explorer and then refresh the network. Settings, balances and empty results must not be inferred from an unavailable reply. A responding observer does not establish that the faucet or signing gateways are available.
A faucet claim is limited, pending or unknown
Keep its original Claim ID and TX ID. Check the same record; use Retry this same claim only when offered. One account can claim 1 test GOD every 24 hours, with additional IP limits. An empty faucet pool pauses new claims. Unknown does not mean paid or rejected; do not create a replacement claim to bypass reconciliation.
A transfer or NFT operation has no confirmed result
Look up the exact saved TX ID. Do not sign a replacement merely because a request timed out. Committed failure can still charge Gas. An NFT event does not establish its present owner; refresh ownership separately.
Staked GOD or G is not immediately spendable
Delegation, unbonding, reward settlement and transaction confirmation are different stages. The current test exit delay is 21 days. Pending G is not claimable. Empty GOD liquidity prevents redemption but does not erase G. Read the staking guide and check the committed state; do not treat a submitted operation as a payout.
Chrome installation, mobile support or updates
The installation page supplies the current test package, checksum and expected extension ID. Use desktop Chrome Developer mode and Load unpacked. Mobile participants should use the web wallet. Updates are manual; do not assume a downloaded package is newer than the current reviewed release.
Help improve the testnet.
Report the action, expected result, browser version and whether the network check matched. Review any diagnostic attachment first. Never attach an encrypted wallet backup, passphrase, private key, recovery phrase or private faith text. Public addresses and transaction IDs can still reveal your activity; share them only deliberately.
